The spirit of fear wants to hold us captive like the spirit of slavery mentioned in Romans chapter 8. We find freedom by the Spirit of power, love and sound mind and the spirit of adoption.
We continue this week to talk about the need to confront our fears as children of God and some key ideas in how to do that. We also begin to talk about dealing with a spirit of fear as described in 2 Timothy 1:7.
The children of God are called and anointed to declare His soon coming! But that's not good news for those who reject His authority. It is wonderful news, however, for the poor in spirit, those that need a savior. We must allow the Holy Spirit to direct us to those that need good news and be faithful to declare it to those who don't want to hear His gospel.
Everyone wants to know what God wants from them, or at least they should. In this message we look at certain keys from Ephesians 5:1-21 that help us connect our hearts and minds with the will of God.
Yeshua said in John 16 that it was better for Him to leave, because He would send us the Holy Spirit if He left. If being filled with the Holy Spirit is better than being next to Yeshua (Jesus) here on earth, then the greatest priority of our life should be to be filled with the Holy Spirit!
The world needs salt and light, our saltiness and brightness is set by our surrender to the Holy Spirit in our life. He fills us with physical, spiritual and resurrection life and with the wisdom and knowledge of God that truly transforms us into His image from glory to glory.
And he empowers us to be witnesses for Yeshua. To speak the Word of God in a way that actually cuts to the heart.
So let us not be drunk with wine but filled with the Holy Spirit!
In this message we look at the doctrine of the trinity briefly and the personhood of the Holy Spirit and then we unpack the nature of the Holy Spirit as the part of Elohim that gives life and reveals truth.
As the household of God we are called to make peace, but peace has a price. Are we willing to pay it?
